Right by the Woodland Hills Mall

And now the sky is rife with smoke,
The buildings in a charred ruin
―When'd they go? Oh, I don't know,

Not me specifically, obviously,
But it meant a lot that someone had come
You couldn't even give that to me

Then the Sun made everyone insane
I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
When it's time to run, you keep a steady pace

Running from the rays of the Sun Kingdom

Now, back when we had recorded music,
And lots of it, I used to get so sick of hearing so many songs
(Why can't you think of anything else to write about?)
So many songs about love

And I still hate it, but I've come to understand it,
And now I've gone so far as to promote it,
Although I don't have you and never will,
So I don't feel too badly about it

For there are just three ways to feel new again
(Faith, being in love, and doing drugs)
And all are illegal, and one I have,
But one isn't enough, and one costs
Money I don't have to spend,
So what's left is love
